A good read for you

Choline Theft- An Inside Job, is the new article published by Dr Marina Mora-Ortiz and Dr Sandrine Claus in Cell Host & Microbe. This work reviews the role of choline, an important methyl donor essential for epigenetic regulation (the study of changes in your genes that are not the consequence of a DNA sequence modification). In this article the authors put special attention on new advances from Romano et al. (2017), where they showed that choline-using gut bacteria fight with their host for available choline. These new evidences indicate that the gut microbiota profile of a person should be considered for personalised health recommendations including diets and health advice.
